Shane Porter is the driving force behind Humanity Within Foundation, overseeing program development to ensure each initiative’s success. A graduate of the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies at Georgia State University with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, Shane brings a wealth of experience and empathy to his work. Currently serving as a special education teacher in Washington, DC's Ward 8, he is deeply passionate about helping others—a commitment shaped by his own life journey and the support he received along the way.

For Shane, change begins with one person recognizing a need and acting with purpose. Humanity Within Foundation was founded on principles of obedience and faith, creating a mission focused on supporting and guiding those in need. Beyond his role in the foundation, Shane is a devoted husband to his wife, Tiana, and a proud father to their daughter, Shayn, with a new addition to the family on the way.
